Awesome Ministry in a little town called Hyndman

May 28, 2009

Last weekend we ventured to southwest PA to the town of Hyndman for a weekend event caled “Spiritfest” and that is exactly what it was. The weekend was a vision by one member of one church on a six point charge 5 years ago. Well God grew the vision and last weekend six churches worked very hard together to see the fulfillment of that vision and we were privileged to be part of it.

We had hoped to be there from the very start on Friday morning however we could not quite make that due to my Mom’s stay in the hospital for a knee replacement. We were able to gett here by earley Friday evening and so began the joy of fellowship with these folks of the Hyndman larger parish. We heard wonderful music, preaching and fun times were had by all. And I was blessed to be able to bring Ruth, Elizabeth and the Woman at the Well to visit on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.

It was indeed a festival of God’s Holy Spirit and I am honored to have been a part of it. There were many things that happened in folks lives some of them we know about some happened behind the scenes in the privacy of the prayer tent and in it all God was honored and lifted up.

I am so grateful to not only take part in this weekend through ministry but also in seeing others ministry as a participant.

Here We Go

March 10, 2009

Hi everyone,

We will be flying out of Atlanta tomorrow morning on the first leg of our trip to Egypt. We are as you might just expect very excited. We will spend one night in a hotel in Cairo on the 12th and boarding our ship on the morning of the 13th.

I have been asked to do three portrayals while we are gone. I am to do Mrs. Noah on board the ship (she will be impressed wih that cruise ship and no animals!). I am also supposed to do Mary Mother of Jesus in the theater in Ephesus and Sarah in the theater in Aspendos.

I will try to write some updates while we are gone but last year i said I would blog while we traveled and I never did. My son has still not let me forget that so i will not make any promises this year.

We have had one person donate to the support of the minsitry here on facebook and we are very grateful. If you want to give you can do so here or through our website.

Be blessed
Luella

We have had a sad week in our personal lives this past week. Unfortunately our pet Muffin has had some episodes of bad temper and last Sunday evening she was particularly bad and in the course of events I was biten. That of course forced us to make the difficult decision that she mut be put down. We loved her but at the age of 9 and a half she seemed to be having behavior problems that made her unhappy as well as us. We miss her but in the over all scheme of things with our lifestyle it is better to travel without a dog for now. Some of you have met Muffin and know that for the most part she has always been a swetheart but she had some periods of stubborness and bad temper. So we had to say goodbye to a dear furry friend.

Well  this is a good start on my blogging I do hope to hear from you all from time to time. If there is anything I nee dto be telling you through the blog let me know and I will try to do so.

Until next God’s peace and Love

Luella
